NetTally ("we," "us," "our") is a personal net worth and budget tracking service. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have.

NetTally does not connect to, request access to, or store credentials for any bank or brokerage account. Every figure you see in your dashboard — balances, investments, income, expenses — is entered manually by you, or imported by you from a spreadsheet file you upload. We have no ability to see or access your actual bank accounts.

• Account information: the email address you sign up with.
• Financial data you enter: account names, categories, and dollar amounts you manually type in or upload via spreadsheet. This data is self-reported and never verified against any real financial institution.
• Stock watchlist: any ticker symbols you choose to track, used only to display public market prices to you.
• Payment information: your subscription is billed through PayPal. We never see or store your card or bank details — PayPal handles that directly and shares with us only your email and subscription status.

We use your information solely to operate the service: to authenticate you, display your dashboard, process your subscription, and — if you're subscribed to them — send you periodic account-related emails, such as a weekly reminder to update your numbers. We do not sell your information to third parties, and we do not use your financial entries for advertising.

To operate NetTally, certain information is processed by these service providers, each under their own privacy practices:

• Supabase — hosts our database and handles account authentication.
• PayPal — processes subscription payments.
• Finnhub — supplies public stock market price data for tickers you choose to track.
• Resend — delivers account-related emails.
• Vercel — hosts the NetTally website and application.

Your data is protected using row-level security, meaning your account's data is only ever accessible by you, even at the database level. That said, no online service can guarantee absolute security, and you should use a strong, unique password for your account.

You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data at any time by contacting us. Deleting your account will remove your entries, categories, and watchlist from our systems.

We retain your information for as long as your account is active. If you cancel your subscription, your data remains accessible to you unless you request deletion, but continued access to the dashboard requires an active subscription.

NetTally is not directed to, and should not be used by, anyone under the age of 18.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by updating the "Last updated" date above.
